THE MANNER OF EXECUTION SUBSIDY PROGRAMMES, INCLUDING THE AMOUNTS ALLOCATED AND THE DETAILS OF THE BENEFICIARIES OF SUCH PROGRAMMES:

(CHAPTER - 13 )

Subsidy is extended to the following categories of beneficiaries.

STUDENTS BELOW 12 Yrs. of AGE

The School/Institution shall be of Govt., Govt. aided or private registered one. The Head of the Institution shall certify the date of birth and bonafides of the students. Free route pass between residence and school will be issued by the nearest Depot Manager. The maximum distance fixed is 22 KMs in cities and 20 KMs. in rural areas.

GIRL STUDENTS STUDYING UPTO CLASS X

Girl students up to an upper age limit of 18 years studying class X and below shall be issued with free route pass between the residence to school and back up to a maximum distance up to 20 KMs. in rural areas and 22 KMs in cities. The students studying in Govt., Govt. aided or private registered school are eligible for which the Head of the school shall certify the date of birth and bonafides & Admission number of the students.

STUDENTS MONTHLY /QUARTERLY ROUTE PASSES / GENERAL BUS PASSES

The school/college/ higher educational and Technical institution where the student is studying shall have recognition of the State or Central Govt. The courses shall be of full time in nature. The students shall not be in receipt of any stipend/fellowship and should not have been employed. The institution shall have affiliation to any Board or University of the State/ Central Govt. which conducts examinations and issues certificates. The Student shall obtain certification of the Head of the Institution in the application form prescribed and submit to obtain the bus pass from the nearest Depot Manager. These Bus Passes valid upto 50 KMs (w.e.f. 01.09.2019) in Rural areas.

PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED

Physically challenged,mentally retarded, blind, deaf & dumb shall produce certificate issued by the District Medical Board concerned.

The blind are those in whom the sight is totally absent i.e., loss of sight in both eyes.

Mentally retarded person is those who is under the category of IQ-69 and below.

Deaf & Dumb are those in whom the sense of hearing and speaking is fully nonfunctional for ordinary purpose of life. He does not hear/ understand should at all even with amplified speech.

Orthopedically challenged are those who have 40% and above disability.

Escorts to mentally retarded and blind persons are allowed based on the certification of the Medical authorities at 50% concessional fare.

STUDENT EXCLUSIVE BUS PASS

Students numbering not less than 60 willing to avail exclusive student special shall be provided with exclusive bus facility. The minimum route length for operating the service is 16 KMs in cities and 20 KMs in rural areas. The tariff shall be collected extra on pro-rata basis,depending upon the additional distance involved.

NGOs BUS PASS

A.P. State Government employees working in Visakhapatnam & Vijayawada and whose pay is below the scale of 28940-77030 (revised), are issued NGOs bus passes priced at Rs.250/- & Rs 350/- for City and Metro express travel respectively. The Controlling Officer will certify the bonafides of the NGO for obtaining this pass. The NGO will pay 1/3rd cost of the pass (Rs 750/-) and the balance 2/3rds cost will be reimbursed by A.P. State Government.

7. AP Secretariat pass
Secretariat employees & employees working at Head of the Departements located in Guntur & Vijayawada cities are eligible to travel within CRDA limits upto Ultra Deluxe buses. The Secretariat employees will pay 1/3rd cost of the pass i.e., Rs 450/- & the remaining 2/3rd cost of the pass i.e., Rs 900/- will be paid by the Govt.

MONTHLY SEASON TICKETS/

General public are issued with monthly season tickets in rural areas and route passes in cities. The holders of this pass will be charged 20 days (one 'Up' and one 'Down') fare to perform journey on all days of the month. The MST will be issued upto 100 kms for PVG, EXP & ULDX.

MONTHLY ROUTE PASSES/ MONTHLY GBT

Monthly General Bus tickets are issued for travel by City Ordinary and Metro Express services at a monthly cost of Rs.750/-and Rs.850/- respectively. Holders of the pass are permitted to perform unrestricted journey by the services for which the pass is valid.

TRAVEL AS YOU LIKE

Travel As You Like Tickets are issued to all general public allowing the holder to perform un-restricted travel on that day by the City/ Sub-urban services under operation in the city. These tickets are available with conductors of all city services. These tickets offer the convenience of travel as many buses as possible with a single payment of Rs. 70/- for the entire day.

Greater Vijayawada/ Visakhapatnam

These passes are issued to general public and students. The cost of the pass is fixed at the base rate of Sub-urban General bus ticket and additional fare beyond Sub-urban limits depending upon the distance involved. For students - Students GBT fare + Rs 35/- for every 2 kms, For General public - General GBT fare + Rs 100/- for every 2 kms.

FREE BUS PASSES TO HON' BLE MLAs AND MPs AND THEIR SPOUSES

All the Honourable Members of Legislative Assembly, Members of Parliament, Ex-MLAs, Ex-MPs and their spouses along with attendants hailing from A.P. are allowed to travel freely in all types of services of APSRTC on the strength of Identity Card. Two seats in all types of services and two berths in AC sleeper coaches are reserved exclusively for this purpose.

FREE/ CONCESSIONAL BUS PASSES TO ACCREDITED JOURNALISTS, PHOTOGRAPHERS.

The list of journalists as decided by I&PR department and the accredition committee of the district will be issued passes - 1) District passes - Free within district upto Superluxury. 2) State Non AC pass - Free within the district and 1/3rd fare within AP State. 3) State AC Pass - Free within the district upto SLX and on 1/3rd fare in AC buses also within AP state.

14. Free travel bus pass to Freedom Fighters of AP aged 65 years and above

All the Freedom Fighters hailing from A.P. aged 65 yrs. and above are allowed to travel freely on all types of A.P.S.R.T.C. buses except AC buses within the State on the strength of their pension payment order. They are issued passes on yearly basis.

15. Senior Citizen

Senior Citizens who have completed 60 years of age (Male & Female) and above are eligible for 25% concession on applicable normal passenger fare to travel in all types APSRTC service including AC buses. They have to produce original photo identity card as proof such as Aadhar card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Pass port, Ration card, Senior citizen ID Card.
